A group of Waikato students damaged police property after officers tried to arrest a fellow student.
Two officers went to Te Awamutu College to arrest a 14-year-old when a group of others got involved and began obstructing them.
Waikato police senior sergeant Stephen Ambler said there were no injuries to officers or students.

Ambler said police were called about 11am to remove a student who had damaged a wall of the school building.
But the boy got free and kicked a patrol car.
More officers were called before a large number of students intervened and tried to stop the arrest.
A further three students were arrested for obstruction.
When asked if the student was intoxicated, Mr Ambler said he wasn't sure but confirmed that police smelt alcohol on the student's breath.
He also doused reports on social media that a taser was used.
The arrested students were now being dealt with by youth aid.
"This matter is definitely an isolated one and we are working with school management to address the issue."
