Strip club must take down 'Kylie Minogue' picture - lawyer

Lawyers for Kylie Minogue have told a Wellington strip club to remove what it says is a picture of the singer from its window.

But Santa Fe Dreamgirls' Services owner Garth Rosson says Sheridan Solicitors of London have got it wrong and it's not Minogue.

The lawyers in a letter to Mr Rosson claimed the image was "misleading" and indicated Minogue supported the establishment.

But Mr Rosson said the picture was downloaded off the internet three months ago and bore no resemblance to the singer.

"What would a nice girl like Kylie be doing in a wet top like that?" he told The Dominion Post.

However, he had taken down the picture which had been emailed to Sheridans and he was waiting to hear if it was Minogue before he put it back up.

"We wouldn't want to hassle Kylie, or upset her. Not at Christmas anyway," Mr Rosson said.
