Ruapehu Farm Supplies is seeking the services of a dynamic and experienced person to run their busy Taihape operation and service key clients in the field.
Applicants will be required to have an in-depth knowledge of agricultural practices, especially agronomy, gained from experience in the rural industry; coupled with the
ability to manage store staff. An enthusiastic person that strives for success with a lead from the front attitude is a must. They should also have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and possess effective planning, organizational, promotional and communication skills.
Previous experience with the seasonal needs of sheep and beef farmers is a must as is in-depth knowledge of pasture renewal and forage cropping programs necessary for the area.
Although training will be available, prior experience involving inventory management, sales and promotional planning, plus successful forward ordering to meet the needs of the coming seasons and a passion to provide a welcoming store presentation would be an advantage.
Applicants would need to possess sound computer skills and hold a current drivers licence. As the position includes duties that require an amount of physical effort a reasonable level of fitness is required.
