STOP Out are the unlikely early leaders in the Central League football competition.
One of the lesser-favoured sides going into 2016 series, Stop Out are the only one of the 10 teams to have won three from three and sit on the maximum 9points.
Second-equal with 7 points are WellingtonUnited and defending champions Napier City Rovers and then follow Wellington Olympic 6, Lower Hutt City 3, Wairarapa United 3, Palmerston North Marist 3, Western Suburbs 2, Miramar Rangers 1 and Petone 1.
Wairarapa United, who have had one-goal defeats to two of the front-runners, Stop Out and Napier City Rovers, and a win over Lower Hutt City, will host Wellington Olympic at Memorial Park this Sunday.
Douglas Villa have drifted well off the pace in the Capital second division competition. Stop Out also lead there with 9pts, then come Victoria University Gossies 6, Seatoun, Waikanae 4, Wellington United Reserves 4, Wainuiomata 4, Lower Hutt City 3, Waterside-Karori Cougars 3, Island Bay 2 and Douglas Villa 1.
Wairarapa United seconds are just below mid-table in the Capital third division competition. Wellington Olympic and Brooklyn Northern United are on top with 7pts, followed by North Wellington Reserves 6, Victoria University Thirds 6, Upper Hutt City 6, Wairarapa United Seconds 3, Marist Reserves 1 and Petone and Victoria University Stallions, who are both yet to open their account.
The Capital premier division women's competition has Wairarapa United holding down second place with 7pts from two wins and a draw, 2pts behind Kapiti Coast United who have won all three of their games. Petone, Brooklyn Northern United and Victoria University have 6pts, Upper Hutt 4, Wellington United Sapphires 3, Western Suburbs 3 and Waterside-Karori and Stop Out both 0.
In the Capital second division women's competition Wairarapa United Seconds are third-equal with Naenae and Victoria University on 4pts.
