Emergency workers have responded to an incident at Christchurch Hospital where a large piece of steel framing has collapsed onto a crane.
The crane driver was lucky to escape unharmed when the wall frame came to rest above the cab, Fairfax reported.
The fire service was called to the incident
at a construction site just before 4pm.
It is understood the crane dropped the steel framing on the corner or Antigua and Tuam streets.
