State Services Commission to axe 22 jobs

The State Services Commission has confirmed 22 jobs will be impacted by its proposed restructuring.

A spokesman says claims they the commission is also facing a 45 per cent budget cut are incorrect.

The spokesman says last year the Government made the decision to transfer a portion of SSC's responsibilities to the Department of Internal affairs. He says 70 staff and associated funding are being moved across to cater for the change.
