State Highway 1 reopens at Himatangi after truck collides with deer

State Highway 1 at Himatangi has reopend after a truck collided with a deer this evening.

The collision occurred around 9pm between Puke Puke Rd and Taikorea Rd a police spokesperson said.

The driver was uninjured in the collision but the deer died at the scene. The spokesperson said motorists are advised to drive with care.
