In Masterton, long-standing Masterton Licensing Trust member Brian Bourke, who has chaired the trust for six years, has confirmed he is standing aside.
Mr Bourke, 71, has been on the trust board for 39 years and said the time had come to retire from it.
"I have enjoyed my time on the trust and have worked with some splendid board members, management and staff," he said.
Mr Bourke said being on the board had allowed him to get to know the Masterton community very well, especially through his work with the charitable side of the trust.
Two sitting members of the licensing trust board have now joined Ray Southey in nominating for a further term. They are businessman Steve Blakemore and solicitor Jock Kershaw.
The only other Masterton nomination for the local body elections is that of John Bunny, a financial adviser who is seeking re-election to the Masterton Trust Lands Trust Board.
