A south Auckland man accused of trying to stab a woman to death has pleaded not guilty.
Mataafa Taoipu Ae, 66, appeared in the High Court at Auckland this morning where he denied a charge of attempted murder.
The alleged attack against the 53-year-old complainant happened at a Manurewa house
on August 1.
Ae also denied charges of threatening to kill a man, burglary and breaching a protection order.
He was remanded in custody until trial in June next year.
