St Matthew's Collegiate caused a major upset in the third series of matches in Netball Wairarapa's premier one competition at the Colombo Road courts in Masterton on Saturday.
Up against previously unbeaten Carterton New World, Lynx St Matthew's started as underdogs but sneaked a two-goal win in a close-fought encounter, 40 to 38.
The in-form Pioneer Blue squad again flexed their muscles with a commanding 53-31 win over Baywide Gladstone.
Harcourts overcame a spirited Wairarapa College challenge 50-30 and Makoura College gave their top four hopes a lift with a massive 68-20 defeat of Hell's Hot Shots.
