Spring is in the air

Splits in the air and impossible leaps were on show at the NZ All Star Cheerleading Spring Carnival Championships in Auckland.

Hundreds of people watched about 700 cheerleaders from around the country compete at the ASB Stadium in Kohimarama yesterday.

New Zealand's top cheerleading team - Team New Zealand - who won bronze at the World Championships in April, showed off their latest moves at the event.

The New Zealand team is getting ready to compete against the world's best, in Florida, next April.
