Spinal injuries suspected in East Coast crash

Save A person has suffered suspected spinal injuries after a single-vehicle crash north of Gisborne today.
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Scott said the car left the road on State Highway 35 near Anaura Bay, about 70km north of Gisborne.
The injured person has been airlifted to hospital by rescue helicopter.
Three
other occupants of the vehicle were uninjured.
Police were at the scene but it was too early to say what caused the crash.
