SPCA investigates starving cows claim

Reports that several cows were starved to death on a Waikato farm are being investigated by the SPCA.

SPCA chief inspector Charles Cadwallader said he found about six dead cows when he visited the Pukeatua farm, 26km southwest of Te Awamutu, but he couldn't confirm that they starved to death.

It was too soon to say whether there would be a prosecution.
