SPCA adopt me: Diesel

Siberian husky-shar pei-cross Diesel is on the look-out for a calm home where he can be part of the family.

The 10-month-old is quite shy so he will need a patient owner who will be able to help him boost his confidence.

SPCA canine attendant Taryn Mager says Diesel is a sweet and loyal young boy who needs set boundaries, otherwise he could be a handful.

He would not be suitable as an outside dog as he adores constant human companionship.

The cream-coloured pup would be suited to older children and would get along well with another dog.

"He has quite a high prey drive so best if he doesn't live with any cats or rabbits," says Mrs Mager.

Diesel was surrendered to the SPCA when his owners were no longer able to care for him.
