Three-year-old Demitre is an adventurous German shepherd-ridgeback cross who is looking for a new home.

The fluffy dog needs a well-fenced backyard and an owner able to set consistent rules and boundaries.

SPCA canine attendant Taryn Mager said Demitre was a typical adolescent who would make a loyal companion for his owners and a fun playmate for other family dogs.

He would not be suited to young children or households with cats.

Demitre has a medium-length black and tan coat that will require require regular grooming.
