Victim of fatal Southland crash named, police renew witness appeal

Police have named a man who died in a crash in Southland as they continue to appeal for witnesses.

Logan John Cahill, 53, died in a crash on Edendale-Woodlands Highway about 8am on April 22.

Police said they want to hear from any witnesses as they continue to establish the circumstances of the crash.

“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash who has not yet spoken to us,” a police spokesperson said.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who was travelling on Edendale-Woodlands Highway around the time of the crash, who may have dashcam footage.”
