A shearers' quarters has been damaged by fire on a North Canterbury farm early this morning.
A Fire Service spokesman said the alarm was raised at 3.15am at the Mendip Hills Station near Cheviot.
Firefighters managed to contain the blaze to the ceiling void of the accommodation block, said the
spokesman.
No one was injured.
Fire investigators would return to the scene this morning to determine the cause of the blaze.
