Source of foam in Waikato River a mystery

Hamilton residents are being asked to help find the source of a white foam discharging into the Waikato River.

The foam, believed to be detergent, has been seen in the river sporadically over the past six months, but the source has not been found.

The public have been asked to phone the Hamilton City Council if they spot it, so it can be traced.

The foam is entering the river from a pipe at Braithwaite Park in Pukete, but because the stormwater system covers a large area the culprit has not been pinpointed.
