Son demands charges for driver involved in father's death

The teenage driver of a car that struck and killed a Kiwi grandfather when he stepped on to a suburban Brisbane street while mowing his lawn should be charged, his son says.

Former Northland man James Harvey died in a Brisbane hospital on February 9, five days after suffering serious head injuries.

Carson Harvey told the Herald on Sunday his father may have been turning the lawnmower when he stepped into the street's gutter and was struck.
