A breakdown in causing delays on the Southern Motorway this morning. Photo / NZTA
Motorists in Auckland can expect some delays on the network as a result of a number of breakdowns and crashes this morning.
Emergency services have just cleared a crash on the Northern Motorway, in St Marys Bay, just before the Harbour Bridge.
The collision blocked two north-bound lanes when thecrash happened at 10.30am.

Almost half an hour later, the crash was cleared. However, it has caused congestion up to the Spaghetti Junction and motorists are being told to allow for extra time.
The collision blocked the middle lane as a result and people were again warned to expect delays.

Then at 8.30am, those heading towards the city on the Northwestern Motorway were faced with congestion and delays after a car broke down in the middle lane just after Te Atatu Rd.
The NZTA alerted motorists via its official social networking sites, telling them: "Pass either side with extra care and expect some delays."
