The variety show also is a good opportunity for the community to see the students in action onstage, Mr Patterson said.
"Feedback from the community about previous shows has been wonderful and it is a great opportunity to re-connect with the school and see what amazing people teenagers are," he said.
The 1st XV rugby haka - especially written for the team this year - will open the show on both nights and will precede a screening of Out of Africa, the college's award-winning Stage Challenge entry.
Organiser Lara Bauerfeind said Thursday night will include performances from school music groups including chamber music, jazz, country folk and rock. The orchestra and choir will join to perform the Theme from Skyrim, which is a popular computer game. Friday night performances will include singing duos, a drum battle, theatre sports, bagpipes, The Pogonologists boys' choir and rock performances from Prevent the Tragedy and Back to the Remedy.
Student entry is $2, adults $5 and entry for a family costs $10.
