Save The search for a German tourist missing in Nelson Lakes National Park for six days is today being hampered by snow and freezing conditions.
Christian Ulf Erik Prehn, 19, was last seen last Tuesday and police say they hold "grave concerns" for his welfare.
Search teams, including a helicopter and
a dog team, spent yesterday in the Travers Saddle area where his pack was earlier found.
Two ground search teams spent last night at the Travers Hut.
One team is out searching again this morning but both teams are walking out of the area today as snow falls.
