The Paekakariki Hill Rd in Wellington, connecting State Highway One to the Hutt Valley, has been closed because of a large slip, says the New Zealand Transport Agency.
The road is closed in both directions, NZTA said this morning. It has advised motorists to use SH1 and SH58.

A largeland slip on the main arterial route into Wellington at the Ngauranga Gorge caused traffic problems this month.
