Victoria Foster, the Napier woman killed this week, will be farewelled at a funeral on Monday.
Ms Foster was a mother, and had a young daughter.
A Givealittle page created for the family has so far raised $8770.
"She worked so hard to provide the best life she could for her and her daughter and all of her dreams were finally coming true, her hard work was paying off," page creator Renee-lee Hunt wrote.

"Unfortunately she was taken from us too soon so we would like to begin a givealittle with all funds raised going to her daughter who not only lost her mum but her best friend."
Police have charged a man with murdering Ms Foster, as her family slowly come to grips with her death.
This afternoon, police said Ms Foster's family had asked for privacy.
"This is a very difficult time for them and they would like some privacy as they grieve for their family member," police said in a statement.
Charges were laid on Wednesday, as the man accused of killing Ms Foster lay in a hospital bed recovering from bullet wounds sustained in an armed standoff with police.
