Sky Tower jump attraction to go ahead

Thrill seekers will soon be able to leap 188 metres from Auckland's Sky Tower, making it the world's highest tourist jump.

From October, anyone with the courage and $195 can jump from the observation deck at 192m and land on a platform 4m above the ground.

The Sky Jump, run by Waitomo Caves adventure company, is a cable-controlled fall that reaches 60 km/h and slows jumpers as they approach the ground.
