"It's a show that's a mix of everything that I already do anyway - I already sing if you give me enough Martinborough wine.
"I just started this because the plan is to keep doing what you're doing, it took me a while to get it right.
"There's no plan to my career - there never has been."
The former television presenter has a few teasers from the show for Wairarapa locals.
"One of my favourite bits of the show is cooking on an ironing board that has been transformed into a portable cook top - it was my designer's idea.
"It has got a little place where I can put my glass of wine."
Another part of the show she enjoys is a live version of her weekly advice column.
When the audience hand their tickets in at the front door they are asked if they have anything to ask Peta and write their question down. Peta will then draw a question from the hat and ask if the person who asked the question would like to come up on stage - if the person agrees, they come up and lie on a couch on stage and she will do their best to solve their problem.
Peta Mathias Live will be held at the Carterton Events Centre on November 14 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from www.dashtickets.co.nz.
