“As our main character, Frances prepares to farewell her beloved mum, she visits the family home and finds some old letters,” Theatre Hawke’s Bay president Kim Wright said.
“They are fan letters to Frank Sinatra, written by her late mum when she was young, but never posted.
“As Frances reads them and learns of her Mum’s hopes and dreams, we are taken back to a ‘60s nightclub where, as a young woman, Frances’ mum regularly performed with Jimmy and Andy, backed by a great live band, and treated their audiences to some great Sinatra songs. But what happened to those dreams? Frances reads on - and finds out.”
