Fire officers were today called to a gas leak in the Auckland suburb of Silverdale.
A spokeswoman for pipeline operator Vector said a third-party contractor struck a small, low-pressure gas line at the Millwater Estate on Millwater Parkway.
The leak was repaired at 1.10pm, she told nzherald.co.nz
Four fire truckscame to the scene, as well as the fire department's hazardous material unit.
