Talon is a small town in Pecos County, Texas. When town officials realised that drinking-water consumption by residents was well below the national average, they decided to take action and three months ago began adding sugar to their water supply to make drinking it more desirable. According to Hester Griggs,
the Commissioner of Utilities for Talon, they are adding roughly "four tablespoons of sugar for every 8fl oz cup of water". A 12fl oz can of Coca-Cola Classic contains just over 3 tablespoons of sugar. (Source: This is That)
Eventual aim is to make tracks for the airport

Heroic exercise in sweaty honour and respect

Before we begin we remind ourselves that the pain and suffering we are about to endure is incomparable to that of the men and women who died serving to protect our freedom, and the families left behind. On Anzac Day we had a remembrance workout to honour a soldier killed in Iraq, and looking down on us, I'm pretty sure he would feel pride and a wee bit of humour in seeing a bunch of normal citizens in pain, doing burpees, sprinting and carrying each other. This is the nobility and community of CrossFit."
