A wanted Australian man has contacted police to request they use a better mugshot in their appeal for information about his whereabouts. Daniel Damon, wanted for not answering bail for traffic and drug matters, contacted Victoria Police via Facebook to ask if they could use a "better photo". "Hi Daniel, please visit your nearest police station and we'll arrange for a new photo to be taken!" the force replied.

While having a coffee at the Whenuapai shops I noticed a local had set a humorous Wi-Fi connection, says Alan. The photo says it all.

Police hot on his heels

A man is in hot water after allegedly stealing a bicycle, pitching it through a Berlin restaurant window, then entering and quaffing half a bottle of Tabasco sauce - telling authorities he was thirsty. Police spokesman Jens Berger said the 34-year-old was intoxicated, but it wasn't clear why he went for the bottle of Tabasco to quench his thirst. He says the man may have mistaken it for a tiny bottle of liqueur, popular in Germany.

Dining out on kind act
