Jake thought this Foot Smoother in a Rodney district $2 shop was a rather brutal way to get rid of dry skin.
The dirt on window cleaner
A reader bought a voucher from Yazoom and is having terrible trouble trying to redeem it: Denise writes: "It was for a $69house-lot of window cleaning. I phoned the company the next day but there was no answerphone and no one picked up. I emailed Yazoom and they assured me the answerphone would be enabled and sure enough it was. I left a message, and texted. No reply. I called again and got a live person who said to text details and he would get back to me. Nothing was sent back. I called and texted him four or five more times all to no avail. Yazoom does not even bother to reply now ... The voucher has now expired."
Some bunny loves you
Bunny-loving Richard writes: "When I was about 14 years old we picked up a baby brown rabbit from a farm that had been chased inside by a cat. It was so small it could fit into the palm of your hand. It lived inside our house for about seven years, under my parents' bed. It used to eat thistles and weeds, and went away with us for Christmas cruises on our yacht. It was very tame and would be walked around the house on my shoulder, or sit there while I ate my dinner. It was incredibly clean with a lovely smell. It came to an untimely end when my sister stepped back off a stool on to its head. Maybe the solution to the rabbit problem in the South Island is to herd the bunnies, ship them north and give them out one per family ..."
"For goodness sake you townies. It is a hare!" says Graeme about the rabbit-like creature attached to the front of a ute in Cockle Bay. "This is like showing a photo of a cow and telling us it is a horse. They have totally different habits and environmental effects than rabbits. Doesn't mean it wasn't a stupid thing to do, hanging it off the front of the car. I have to assume someone was playing a prank on the vehicle owner."
