Shirts suit Supergrans to a T

You won't miss the Wairarapa Supergrans volunteers in their new bright blue T-shirts and logo.

The organisation unveiled the new T-shirts and handed them out to their many volunteers at the Wairarapa Community Centre on Thursday.

Chairwoman Gaylene van Wijk said it was a way to thank their volunteers as well as make people more aware of the Supergrans in the community.

"It's gathering our group together," she said.

Supergrans volunteer all over Wairarapa and help people with tasks such as cooking and budgeting.

Mrs van Wijk said they hoped to attract new members, especially younger people and men.

Manager Marie McAnulty said that the new logo represented family.
