State Highway 5 has reopened after a truck rolled, spilling gravel across the road.
Traffic was blocked on SH5 in both directions near Waipunga, between Matea Rd and Pohokura Rd, after the truck rolled.
A police spokesperson said the amount of gravel spilled required the road to be closed for
several hours.
A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said one patient, in a moderate condition, was transported to hospital.
NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) closed SH5 between Taupō and Eskdale at 1.15pm and reopened the road at 2.50pm under stop/go traffic management.
