SH1 reopens after Wellington crash

The southbound lanes of State Highway 1 north of Wellington have re-opened following a truck crash this morning.

The driver suffered minor injuries when his truck, carrying chemicals and general goods, rolled and blocked lanes south of Porirua about 5.45am.

The lanes reopened about 1.45pm and traffic was now moving, a police central communications spokesman said.

The truck and trailer was back on its wheels and the chemicals accounted for.
