State Highway 1 northbound near Bombay has reopened after it was closed by a crash.
Motorists had earlier been warned about delays after the two-car crash blocked the Waikato Expressway near the border of the Waikato and Auckland regions about 8.45am.
“Due to a crash the road northbound isclosed after the Nikau Rd overbridge,” the NZ Transport Agency said earlier.
“Expect delays when travelling through this area or consider postponing your journey.”
However, NZTA recently provided an update saying SH1 had reopened, although motorists may still experience some delays as the congestion takes time to ease.
