“Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek an alternative route or delay travel if possible,” police said.
Hato Hone St John said
two people were injured, including one in serious condition and another in a moderate condition.
They were taken to North Shore Hospital.
The incident was during the New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union (NZPFU) strike from 12pm-1pm.
This morning, NZPFU posted that their strike action was set to escalate.
“For the first time in NZ history, firefighters will take the unprecedented step of striking on a Monday,” the NZPFU said.
