SH1 closed by Kapiti Coast crash

Save Two people have been injured and part of State Highway 1 closed after a two-car crash on the Kapiti Coast today.
The crash happened just before 2pm at the intersection of SH1 and Beach Road at Paekakariki.
Inspector Ken Climo of central police communications said there was a large amount
of debris that had closed the northbound lane.
Police were contacted by a train driver at the scene.
A woman was trapped in her vehicle with chest injuries but had since been freed.
