Seven people have been injured in a serious car crash in the central North Island overnight.
Acting Inspector Megan Gouverneur said at around 8pm two vehicles collided at the intersection of SH47 and SH48 in National Park.
The driver of one of the vehicles was critically injured and flown to
Waikato Hospital.
Another person was in a serious condition and five other people suffered moderate injuries, she said.
The serious crash unit was investigating.
