Serious two-car crash blocks State Highway 2 in the Manawatu

Police are in attendance at a serious crash on State Highway 2 near Palmerston North.

A two-car crash has blocked a section of State Highway 2 in the Manawatu-Wanganui Region.

The highway is closed south of Norsewood, near Palmerston North as a result of the crash, which happened shortly after 10.40am.

No injury details are yet available.
Diversions are being set up and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
