Serious house fire in Favona, Auckland

Emergency services attended the scene of a serious house fire in South Auckland today.

The blaze was in a Housing New Zealand-owned property on Favona Rd, Favona.

A Fire Service spokeswoman said firefighters were called to the address just before 1pm.

The fire was "well involved" in the single storey 10m by 15m property when fire engines arrived.

Three crews attended the scene and all of the house's occupants were safe.
