Serious crash on Coastal Highway in Tasman

Motorists are warned to expect delays after a two-vehicle crash in Tasman left two people injured.

Police said emergency services were attending the incident on the Coastal Highway, Appleby, between Maisey and Redwood roads.

Hato Hone St John said they attended a crash at 3.15pm and took one person with serious injuries to Nelson Hospital, while another with minor injuries was treated at the scene.

The road is closed with diversions in place, police said.

“Motorists are asked to avoid the area or expect delays.”
