Save A serious two-car crash has closed State Highway 73 in Arthurs Pass.
Emergency services were called to the crash between Arthurs Road and Waimakariri River Valley Road about 10.45am, a police spokesman said.
One person has been seriously injured.
It was not known how long the road would remain closed
for at this stage, he said.
No more information was immediately available.
