That victory took Wairarapa United seconds to the top of the table on 35 points and they have a game in handon second-placed Victoria University, who have 33, and third-placed Petone Armanis on 31.
The next two games Wairarapa United seconds have are against fellow Wairarapa sides, Gardner Electrical Masterton and White Swan Greytown.
A 2-1 loss to NW Inglorious White Socks on Saturday sees Gardner Electrical Masterton in sixth place on 16 points from 15 games while White Swan Greytown are seventh on 13 from 14 games after their 3-3 draw with Petone.
Douglas Villa are in fifth place in the Capital second division series. They lost 2-0 to Wellington Olympic on Saturday and are on 24, behind Western Suburbs 31, Island Bay United 30, Upper Hutt City 28 and Naenae 27.
Quarter-final matches were played in the Knockout Cup championship and plate sections in Wairarapa local league football on Saturday.
