A search resumes this morning for a woman reported missing south of Featherston.
Cheryl Lee Shaw, 44, was last seen at about 2pm yesterday at the intersection of Kumenga Rd and the East West Access Rd, south of Kahutara and within 20 minutes drive of Lake Wairarapa.
Ms Shaw neverreturned to the address she had been staying at near to the intersection, said Senior Constable Matheson.
A Wellington communications spokesman said a helicopter search had failed to find the woman yesterday.
The Masterton Search and Rescue team would continue the search this morning, he said.
Police are asking for anyone who may have seen the caucasian woman, thought to be of a thin build, wearing a green and white singlet, blue polar fleece trousers and jandals, to come forward with information.
