Search for missing 4-year-old boy resumes

A search resumed this morning for a four-year-old boy who went missing in Northland last night.

The boy was reported missing after wading into a stream in Moerewa, about 60km north of Whangarei, about 10pm, Northern communications Senior Sergeant Chris Money said.

He said an extensive search last night failed to find any sign of him.

It was believed that the boy entered the stream to retrieve a ball, and disappeared in a swimming hole.
