Search continues for missing camper

Searchers were today returning to bush in Marlborough looking for a holidaymaker missing since Monday.

Joseph Knowles, 47, who had been staying at a Pelorus Bridge camp ground, was last seen at Pelorus Bridge tearooms.

Mr Knowles left most of his belongings but no plan of his walking route, search head Beau Webster said today.

"That's the unfortunate thing about it, he left no indication of where he went," Mr Webster said.

Search and rescue teams would continue the operation on foot today, covering bush and river areas.
