Sealord recalls fish products

Sealord have voluntarily recalled selected batches of calamari chips and fish after trace levels of peanut were found.

Batches affected were Sealord Calamari Chips 400g, best before February 3 2012, batch code 0246, and Captain's Choice Battered Fish Portions 480g, best before November 2 2011, batch code 0214.

Consumers allergic to peanuts were advised not to consume the products.

There have been no reports of injury but anyone concerned about their health should seek medical advice. These products can safely consumed by people without peanut allergies.

Both products were sold in supermarkets throughout New Zealand.

Customers should return the product to the retailer they bought it from for a full refund or phone 0800 732 5673.
