Scott Guy murder accused in court

The man accused of murdering Feilding farmer Scott Guy has been remanded in custody until August 3.

Ewen Kerry Macdonald, the brother-in-law of Mr Guy, reappeared in Palmertson North District Court this morning.

His lawyer, Greg King, indicated a plea inquiry hearing would not be needed as the charge will be defended.

Mr Guy, 31, was shot dead in the driveway of his Aorangi Road, Feilding, home on July 8 last year.

Macdonald, 30, is married to Mr Guy's sister Anna MacDonald and first appeared in court on April 8, nine months after the murder.

During today's appearance McDonald watched his family who were present in court today.
