Scientists recognised

The Royal Society of New Zealand has announced six of New Zealand's science medals for 2007.

The Hector Medal has been awarded to Dr Tim Haskell; the T.K. Sidey Medal to - Associate Professor Roger Reeves of Canterbury University; the R.J. Scott Medal to Professor Bruce Melville FRSNZ of Auckland University; the Hamilton Memorial Prize to Dr Alexei Drummond of Auckland University; the Hatherton Award to Dr Celia Webby of Oxford University; and the Charles Fleming Award to Professor Mick Clout of Auckland University.
