21st century Santa: Starship kids chat with Santa at the North Pole.
Hello ho ho! It's Santa calling.
The big man in the red suit had a special treat for children receiving treatment at Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland yesterday, when he video-called several kids.
Father Christmas spoke to the children live from the North Pole, beaming directly into a meeting roomat the hospital.
Excited kids took turns to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.
Speaking afterwards, Elih said it was "really fun" to talk to Santa.
"He was funny," said Elih, who has a bone infection in his knee.

Zaynab Emad, 4, asked old Saint Nick for a telescope.
Santa was "nice", she said.
He told her she was the first person to ask for a telescope for Christmas. She promised to share her gift with her sister Marium, 3 months, who is being treated at Starship after being born prematurely with spina bifida.
